Meet Five Rivers Recruitment

Our History

In 2004 Phil Downer and Phil Buckley recognised the need within Salisbury for a recruitment agency that delivered a professional service in a friendly way. Five Rivers Recruitment was born and has gone from strength to strength since then. We now have an exceptional team of recruiters who are all passionate about working in partnership with local businesses and candidates.

We opened our first office in 2004 located in Bedwin Street, Salisbury but soon outgrew these offices as our team expanded. We now reside in Cross Keys House, overlooking the Market Square giving us the perfect position for candidates to pop in and see us.

About Us

As part of our commitment to business development within the community, we launched our training department in 2012 to help organisations train their staff with a variety of workplace skills.

In 2013 we acquired our sister agency Alpha People and in January 2017 we started expanding our business to encompass Melksham, Chippenham and the North Wilts area. We look forward to continuing our strong relationship with the local community within Salisbury and the wider Wiltshire areas for many years to come.

Meet the team

Richard

Director

Richard lives in Warminster with his wife, three children and three cats and enjoys playing golf, badly, at courses around Wiltshire. He is the co-founder of the Warminster Philharmonic Orchestra and is the office saviour with any tricky IT issues.

Kate

Head of Permanent Recruitment, Salisbury

Kate is a firm favourite with clients and candidates alike and often visited in the office with thank you treats (which are always welcome) She loves spending time with friends and family, and currently lives in the countryside with her partner Dan and her two dogs Shola and Saxon. Kate is a proud supporter of Dogs Trust and often leads 5 Rivers Recruitment charity work.

Ivor

Recruitment Consultant

In 2013, after 30 years working for the Department of Work & Pensions, Ivor decided it was time for a change and agreed to bring his expertise and local knowledge to the private sector to join our recruitment team. A keen sportsman and volunteer, Ivor can often be seen at a variety of local and national sporting events.  In July 2014 he went missing from our HQ for a whole two weeks as he led the table tennis players out at the Commonwealth Games.  He is also the undisputed king of the “selfie”, a Welfie selfie, if you will…..
